A lovely ear of corn from our wonderful garden. I chose to cook this one and cut the corn off and add it to a black bean salad. Yummie. We have quite a bit of it so we better figure out what to do with it. I like the yellow kernels against the green husk. Great color combo.

It's So Freakin' Hot

This is a picture of my second popsicle of the day, the flavor is blue. I think it is a blueberry derivative. Anyway the sad part is that when I initially thought of taking it's picture it was supposed to be a quick shot. No big deal. However I ended up having to stage the photo with better lighting than the initial "quick shot" and replace my memory chip during the whole ordeal because of all the cow pictures I took. The whole picture taking process took about 5 minutes for one fabulous photo. So I guess the really interesting thing is that the popsicle did not fully melt during all this and I think I spelled the word popsicle correctly.

Weekend Cow Blog #1

An avid reader of my blog (my dad) recently asked why I don't have any Cow pictures on my blog when the blog title contains Cow references. I thought this was a great question and that is why I have created weekend cow blog so I could be true to the blog's identity.

Peaches or apricots, not quite sure. They must be peaches because it looks like the fruit is already bigger than an apricot. We need to learn how to prune, these branches have a very heavy load. One of the branches already collapsed from the weight. There is also an apple tree next to this one. I can't wait till they are ready to pick.
